CGI_2007_008.jpgParents report that their children are happy to come to school every single day, but no one has to tell us that. We can see it for ourselves. The smiles they bring with them are the measure of our success. We specialize in happy children. We are proud of our comprehensive program and the nurturing environment in which our children learn through play.

Of course, every preschool thinks it is special.  That’s why it is most important that you see for yourself, that you observe the children during play time, circle time, snack time, interacting with each other and their teachers, in order to make an informed decision. You need to experience the environment, to see if it is both nurturing and stimulating for your child.

Fortunately, our program has already earned a high level of respect.  We invite any prospective family to talk with any current or former Gan Yeladim Family to find out why. Of course, they’ll be the first to tell you that we may be the best kept secret in town.

Testimonials for Gan Yeladim Preschool

When we enrolled Benny at Gan Yeladim, we expected a warm and loving environment, we planned on a solid Judaic experience, but what came as a wonderful surprise was the strength of the academic aspect of the program. Each month he bursts with information and knowledge about a new and exciting concept. We are all thrilled by the field trips and visuals provided to complete the cycle of learning. It’s so reassuring to know he will enter Kindergarten with enthusiasm and excitement because of the foundation he’s received from the teachers at Gan Yeladim. -  Barry & Lisa Rosen

My husband and I feel lucky to have had our children at Gan Yeladim preschool for the last four years. Because of its size, the kids receive lots of individualized attention. Because of its great teachers, the children learn to respect others and play (and learn) in a creative and challenging environment. It is run by Morah Raizel (Raizel Shemtov) and Ms. Carol (Carol Toney). The kids get a thorough and meaningful Jewish education from Morah Raizel.  Ms. Carol, who is both an artist and has a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education, has wonderfully creative ideas for the secular program.   For example, at the beginning of the month, the kids learned all about the rain forest culminating in a field trip to the rain forest at the zoo.  The next week, Dr. Suess’ birthday was celebrated.  The kids were asked to bring in their favorite Dr. Suess book.  They made their own “Cat in the Hat” rhyming book, a pocket filled with words and pictures from “A Wocket in my Pocket.”   The week ended with Crazy Hat day where each hat received a special award.  Later in the month, with Purim approaching, the focus turned to all things royal.  In Morah Raizel’s classroom, the kids made hamantaschen, decorated shalach manos baskets, learned  Purim songs, and had a Purim party.   During the same few weeks in Miss Carol’s classroom, a large cardboard castle was set up in the room.  “Royal” music was played in the room and the sign-in sheet was turned into a scroll.   The kids made crowns and necklaces and came dressed up as kings and queens for a royal tea party with real tea.   Now the kids have begun to learn about the circus and are looking forward to dressing as circus performers at the end of the week.

Although we will be sad to have our youngest child leave Gan Yeladim this spring, we credit this school for helping our daughter develop the confidence, and social and academic skills necessary for kindergarten. We also hope she’ll continue to treat other children with kindness and respect differences which perhaps are the greatest lessons she has learned at Gan Yeladim.

I would be happy to speak to any parents who would like to learn more about this great program.
